Happy St. Patricks Day! We hope everyone had a great, and lucky day! Parker had two days of fun, because he had two preschools with St. Patricks Day parties. He learned that you need to wear green and if you don't the Leprechauns will pinch you. I don't know where he heard this from, but he was very concerned...and made Jordan frightened that little men were going to get him. Both boys were up and anxious to get dressed in their green. We ate green cheerios, so our tummys would not get pinched. We went to the library for story time...always a favorite. The boys were captivated with the leprechaun story and loved "hunting" them. They were a little concerned when the teacher said that leprechauns were there, but were excited to "capture" the little men and get the gold coin and necklace.
We then came home and did our own St. Patricks day hunt. The garden needed to be put in so...Mommy hand tilled the entire garden, while the boys "hunted" everything green (weeds). We planted our garden... our Irish ancestors would be proud. Did you know that if you plant your potatoes on St Paddys day, you will have good luck for a year. Do you think the garden counts if you don't have potatoes in it?
