Adventures in August !

Wow, August was a great month filled with lots of wonderful adventures!
The boys filled their passports, traveling to the different continents,exploring the wildlife and climates at Explorer Camp (by the way see these fun SEVEN kids, this was the group I brought home everyday...I have this car pool thing DOWN!)  We also spent a day as astronauts exploring the moon and planets at the Hansen Planetarium with our cousins. We learned lots and really enjoyed the show in the Dome Theatre, both boys thought we were on a ride because of the great effects :)

We spent one fun afternoon at Antigravity with Daddy, Mommy and Lolli, what a great was to escape the HOT August weather.  Daddy and Parker had lots of fun playing Dodge Ball (although Daddy took quite a hit to the face :(  Jordan loved climbing up the walls and sliding down. Taleah even got in on the fun, she and Lolli crawled,bounced and laughed the entire time :)  She really loved the freedom she had and the new experience of crawling on the bouncy tramp.

We spent a fun afternoon at the Gateway To Wellness, the boys loved gathering SWAG, doing the obstacle course (Jordan was especially fast on the course), jumping in the bounce house and eating Popsicles of course ! (this was Taleah's first Popsicle and she LOVED it!)

We also spent a great afternoon at the Town Square splash pad, I didn't think that Taleah would want to get in so I hadn't packed her a swimming suit. Well, one look and she was in and LOVING it.  She crawled around in her diaper until a sweet Mommy gave us a swim diaper and then another Mommy saw me trying to shade her and gave us some baby sun screen (thank goodness for kind Mommy's who come prepared !)  Parker found a friend (of course) to play with and attacked the water fountain...he loves that thing, can you tell ?  Jordan enjoyed floating things down the river, squirting people with the hose and playing with Taleah.  After drying off in the sun (this is my boys favorite part...I think they are part lizard :)  we headed home ready for a nap, a pretty successful afternoon I say.

We spent a night at the cabin in Pine Valley with a few friends, it was tons of fun and SO nice to escape the heat !  In fact, both early afternoon/evenings there were crazy thunderstorms that rolled in...the boys were a little nervous I thought it was so cool to watch!  All the kids stayed up way to late, I finally chased the last two boys back to bed at 1:30am!  We did a little fishing, Parker caught his first fish...which everyone (male) enjoyed gutting :(>  We also walked along the river and found this beautiful spot to sit and listen to nature (and boys throwing rocks and sticks) We tried a new smore recipie... marshmellow, Crackers and REESE PEANUT BUTTER CUPS !  Super yummy !

And last but NOT least, we got to see Aladdin at Tuacahn!  The show was amazing, especially the 3-D special effects...we all REALLY REALLY enjoyed the show!  The best part, our friend called and told us about a radio promo so we got amazing tickets for only $10 !!! It was a little late for the boys on a school night, but we survived and they are still talking about that crazy genie :)

Wow, what a month!  Now on to Sept. with school, soccer, TWO birthdays and football...can't wait!
